This TV show on Netflix is fantastic. I am in complete love and I'm only on episode four. The show highlights the culture of the Titanic era. It begins with the death of two family members on the Titanic, which changes the fortune of the family. The acting is amazing. It is so subtle that on many occasions, I feel the characters are real instead of actors, which is quite a feat.
Seriously, if you like period dramas, you must watch Downton Abbey

I've heard a lot about Downtown Abby but haven't watched it yet. Honestly I don't know why. I guess I always forget about it when I'm looking for something to watch!
I am so ashamed to admit that I read your post and have since watched the whole season. I love period dramas and I'm always so excited to discover a new one I haven't seen yet. It's embarassing how much I love them. Thanks for the recommendation but now I'm mad. I just read the next season won't air in the US for another year. Poo!

Amanda, I haven't even finished the season yet! I'm trying to take it slowly so that I can enjoy it, but it's hard. I just started episode 6, but stopped it because I couldn't stand to watch Thomas and Ms. O'Brien frame Bates. Not again. Argh! I just need to keep watching, but I'll save it for tomorrow after work.
I am totally frustrated too. Winter of 2012 is when it will start to air. It won't even be on Netflix for forever. I think it's time for me to get a TV just so I can watch it on PBS.
